Mehran Alaee - RE Group

I have had the pleasure of serving you as a member of the RE executive for the past three terms; first as a member at large and as your vice president for the last two terms. Currently I am a member of the Strategic Bargaining Committee, and served on the Central Bargaining Team during the last bargaining round. I have been a steward for the past seven years, and have served as subgroup member at large, vice president and president for more than a decade.

At the departmental level, I am a member of the Environment and Climate Change Canada Consultation Team for Science and Technology Branch; and a member of the Ontario Region Labour Management Consultation Committee. At the local level, I am president of the Hamilton-Burlington Branch, and an alternate on the local Workplace Health and Safety Committee.

I am a research scientist at the Science and Technology Branch of Environment and Climate Change Canada, in Burlington, Ontario. My research interest focuses on the determination of the sources and fate of pollutants in the environment.

As your member of the RE executive I will continue to represent your interests during bargaining, ensure better working conditions and defend the rights of all RE members.
