The Commerce and Purchasing Group (AV), representing CO-PG members, is seeking an Executive appointment or election for:
Member at Large Executive position – Interim term starting November 1, 2020 and ending May 31, 2021
Quebec Regional Representative Executive position – Interim term starting November 1, 2020 and ending May 31, 2021 (Only Quebec regular members can apply)
As per AV Group By-Laws:
6.2.3 Appointment: Should a vacancy occur on the Group Executive, for whatever reason, and should an election to fill the vacancy not be practicable, the Executive may appoint a member to fill the vacancy, until such time as an election is held.
6.2.3 ii) If the position of Regional Representative becomes vacant, the Executive shall make every effort to appoint a member from the designated region. If best efforts to appoint a member from the region are unsuccessful, the Executive may appoint a member to fill that vacancy who shall serve as member-at-large.
6.2.3 iii) Should no nominations be received or a vacancy occur in other positions, the remaining members of the Executive may select an eligible member of the Group to fill that vacancy until an election is held.
Eligibility
7.4.1 Candidate Eligibility Only Regular members shall be eligible for election to the Group Executive.
Duties
6.7.5 Regional Representative To act as liaison between the Group Executive and their Regional members, represent the interests of the members, assist in organizing and maintaining Sub-group representation, and perform such duties as may be assigned by the Executive.
6.7.6 Members-at-Large shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the Executive.

Your application, via email, must be supported by at least 2 regular members. Simply add their names to your email along with their email address, and state the position for which you wish to be considered. Candidates should also submit a résumé of up to 200 words in Word format as to why they wish to fill that position.

This appointment procedure will be administered in accordance with the current AV Group Constitution and By-Laws. By October 31, 2020 the Group Executive will appoint applicants to fill these positions.
