Gerry Renna

Dear fellow AFS Members,

I am asking each and every one of you to place your trust in me by supporting my run for the position of Quebec Regional Representative.

CRA Experience:

I began my career at the CRA in 2002, as a PM-02 auditor for SME and am currently working as an AU-03 in the Criminal Investigation Division.

In 2010, I became a steward and a member of the Executive Committee of the Laval AFS subgroup.
2013-2015, I was elected President of the Laval AFS subgroup.
2018-2019, I created the AFS 200 René-Levesque West subgroup in the Criminal Investigation division and became acting President.
In 2018, I was elected Treasurer for the Quebec region.

During my 10 years as a steward, I have, among other things:

Taken many training courses to improve my knowledge of labour law and regulations;
handled grievances, some dealing with very delicate matters;
proactively participated in Union-Management Consultation sessions;
facilitated Union-Management Approach sessions;
facilitated Conflict management sessions.

Spoken and written:

Represent all members equally across Quebec on all union-related issues, particularly:

To protect members’ official language rights;
To resolve staffing issues;
To actively contribute to collective bargaining so as not to lose what we worked so hard to acquire;
To promote teamwork between the different regions for the benefit of the entire group;
To find solutions between members and management so as to reduce dissatisfaction to a minimum;
To fight for the rights of every individual; and
In every case, invest the time and effort necessary to help the members.
