Craig Palmer - NR Group

I am very happy to submit my nomination for the position of NCR representative to the NR Group Executive.

As many of you may know, I am a dedicated steward as well as the current VP and past President of the NR Gatineau Sub-group.

The main purpose of the executive is to:

  • bargain the collective agreement and to further the professional interests of its members;
  • formulate and express the views of the members on matters affecting them;
  • protect the status and standards of their professions;
  • ensure that the interests of the Group are represented in all proceedings of the employer and of the Institute that may affect the Group and should I be elected, I intend to act in your best interests in fulfilling these responsibilities. 

My key objectives as an executive member will be to:

  • work towards correcting the discrepancy in pay between the private and public sector In the next round of negotiations;
  • ensure that existing Phoenix problems are resolved for NR members and
  • revitalize the NR Group executive committee.

As your representative, you can count on me to invest time to protect the interests of all NR Group members and to increase respect and recognition by the employer in the public service.
