CFIA S&A Group Election 2019 - Joyce Garofalo

It is my honour and privilege to serve you on the CFIA Scientific & Analytics Group Executive as a Member-at-Large at this current time; and I ask for your vote in continuing to serve you in this election.

Along with being a member of the CFIA-S&A Group Executive, I am also a member of the PIPSC-CFIA National Consultation Team, and the President of the newly formed CFIA-S&A Sub-group in Guelph, ON. I was formerly the President of CFIA-S&A Hamilton and Toronto Sub-groups when I worked in those areas, as well as the President of the Toronto CFIA branch when it was in existence. I have attended and represented you at the Southwest and Central Regional levels and the Ontario level of UMCC for many years.

As a CFIA-S&A steward for Ontario since 2005, I have represented our members and communicated their issues and concerns with management, in formal and informal settings. My areas of interest and involvement include collective agreement interpretations, obtaining guidance from our ERO for members, mediation, harassment complaints, grievances, and accommodations.

I humbly request your vote so that I may continue to assist on your behalf on the CFIAS&A Group Executive.
