OSFI Bargaining Update # 6 – What’s New?
Central Table Tentative Agreement
PIPSC has recently updated members on the exciting progress made at the PIPSC central table.
This is a very positive development and milestone in negotiating a tentative agreement with our Employer. There remains work to be done to address OSFI specific issues and the concerns and priorities of our members.
Your PIPSC Bargaining Team met on May 28th, to review the results of the central table negotiations and prepare for our next sessions with the Employer, scheduled for June 10 & 11, 2019. Your team is committed to seeking a fair and timely tentative agreement which recognizes the important contributions of all our members. An update will be circulated following the June meetings.
Phoenix Compensation
Recently a subcommittee of federal public service unions and employer representatives reached a settlement to provide damages to public service workers in light of the ongoing Phoenix payroll debacle. PIPSC joined 12 other unions in negotiating this settlement with employer representatives.
This settlement was two years in the making. There is still work being completed to implement the terms of the settlement with separate employers, and once finalized we will communicate this information to the membership.
We appreciate the interest that has been generated by these two recent announcements, and ask members to refrain from contacting Payroll or Human Resources with questions at this time. We will provide additional details to the membership as progress is made on the specific items. In the meantime, please feel free to contact your bargaining team members if you have any pressing questions or concerns.
Better Together!
