In a context where current events place Iran at the center of global tensions, come explore this country and better understand the current situation beyond sensationalist media headlines:

  • The country, its millennia-old civilization, from Persian empires to today through multiple invasions
  • The cultural, poetic, and human richness of the Iranian people, as well as its geographic diversity and natural resources
  • Political, regional, and international dynamics and the coups of the last century
  • The major issues of the 20th and 21st centuries that explain the current situation

The executives of the NR Sub-Group of Quebec City and Quebec-Section invites its members to attend a memorable dinner-conference presented by Mr. Éric Sauvé, Mr. Fouad Goodarzi, and Mr. Alireza Mostafavi.  This presentation is an excellent opportunity not only to meet, but also to better understand the geopolitical situation of Iran and the Middle East following decades of turmoil since 1979, the dramatic escalation of events in recent months in this region of the world, and the impacts for Canada and globally.
