I would like to become a member of the SH group’s executive committee in order to actively contribute to the collective strength of our professions and our ability to move forward together. As a nurse and federal employee for 15 years, having worked in four departments in Quebec and Ontario, I have gained a practical understanding of the importance of strong, consistent, and inclusive representation for all professions in the SH group. Despite our distinct roles, we form a united, essential, and committed team under the same employer. Since 2017, my involvement as a steward, as a member of the Quebec regional executive, as the director of the SH-CSC-Montréal/Rive-Nord chapter, as the chair of the SH-CSC-Montréal/Rive-Nord sub-group, and as a member of the National Elections Committee executive, has allowed me to develop a structured approach based on key principles. Recognizing our strengths and limitations, delegating effectively, supporting our colleagues, acting with transparency, earning respect through integrity, and valuing the work accomplished are, for me, essential foundations. I also want to strengthen the ties between our members through active networking, so that I can better understand our diverse realities and advocate for our common interests with rigour and determination. My goal is to represent each member of the SH group fairly and contribute to strong, united, and visionary governance.
