Minutes of Bathurst IT Subgroup Annual General Meeting and Executive Elections

President: Rémi Parent called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
The first item in the agenda was to take attendance.

Minutes of the 2024 AGM were emailed on October 5, and approved at the AGM. Moved by Yves Gauvin and seconded by Eric Pitre.
Agenda approval
Rémi Parent asked if there were any additions to the agenda. Moved by Gervais Boudreau, seconded by Rachel Doucet.
Finances
The financial report was emailed on October 5 and approved at the AGM. Moved by Alain Albert and seconded by Joël Basque.
Rémi introduced our guests: Rob Scott (newly elected IT Group President), Mark Bellefleur (Atlantic Regional Director), and Tamara Critch (IT Group Secretary). Members were invited to get food and return to their tables for Rob’s speech.
The new IT group president, Rob Scott, read his report with Tamara and Mark’s participation. The discussion focused mainly on negotiations and a few other highlights.

Report of the Bathurst IT Subgroup President
- Number of members as of October 6, 2025 = 56 (waiting PIPSC confirmation).
- Already 2 years have passed since the subgroup was reactivated in 2023.
- A record 22 members took part in the last social event (Christmas social last year in December 2024).
- The next event will be on Friday, December 5 (Christmas social 2025).
- Request to notify Rémi if interested in attending Northern Branch AGM on October 7, with the possibility of car pooling.
- Invitation to members to submit ideas for activities they’d like to see.
- Thanks to members for participating.
- Navigar training on February 23.
Elections
There are over 55 members, and 5 positions are available on the executive.
For the position of President, 1 member volunteered: Rémi Parent was re-elected.
For the position of Vice-President, Rémi nominated Rachel Doucet and she accepted.
For the position of Treasurer, Rémi nominated Mario Doucet and he accepted.
For the position of Secretary, Rémi nominated Tyler Bossé and he accepted.
For the Member-at-large position, Rémi nominated Gervais Boudreau and he accepted.
It should be noted that members were invited to introduce themselves, and time was allowed between nominations to allow other members to come forward before each individual was elected.
Motion to adjourn the meeting, moved by Yves Gauvin and seconded by Eric Pitre.
The meeting was closed at 7:30 p.m.
