Maged Guirgis
As a member of the executive team, I have been involved in furthering the professional interests of our veterinarian members, protecting the status and standards of our profession, representing members' views on matters affecting them, and ensuring that the Group's interests are represented in proceedings involving the employer and the union.
Given my previous union experience and in-depth knowledge of the CFIA-VM Collective Agreement and PIPSC policies, I am well-prepared to fulfill these responsibilities. My ongoing involvement has equipped me with the skills needed to effectively represent members and build consensus.
In addition to my qualifications, I am highly organized and have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, which will enable me to assume the position duties and actively participate in different group meetings and committees. Furthermore, I am committed to attending the CFIA-VM Group and other PIPSC meetings, to ensure the interests of our members are consistently and effectively represented at all levels.
My dedication to upholding the standards of our profession, along with my strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, makes me a suitable candidate to represent and serve our members and contribute meaningfully to advancing the interests of our veterinarian working for the CFIA.
