Michael Pauley
I am an engineer who started with PSPC last fall after 28.5 years employed with the NB government in various roles. I, however, am certainly not new to PIPSC. I have been an extremely active PIPSC steward since 1998 and been an executive member with the NB Engineers, Architects and Land Surveyors in various roles, spending 11 years as the President of that group. I have also been through major union disputes with the NB Government with the most notable being the ongoing pension challenge over the changes to the NB Defined Benefit pension. I was the “tip of the spear” on this file in NB. I also started the provincial Labour Management Committees with GNB and was lead on bargaining for three rounds. I was the Atlantic Regional Executive of the year in 2018 and honored to be profiled by PIPSC in 2019. Currently I am the Vice Chair-Atlantic Regional Executive, VP-Fredericton Branch, VP-Fredericton NR Subgroup as well as the Chair of the Atlantic Regional Group/ Branch Presidents committee. I also sit on the various Atlantic PSPC Labour management committees representing members in the workplace. I am a staunch supporter of professional recognition for our NR membership and against “Contracting Out”. I would like to represent you on our national executive and leverage my connections, experience with bargaining and labour relations to help our NR group as a whole.
