Webinars: Workforce adjustment and your options

Over the coming weeks, many members may receive notice that their position is affected by work force adjustment (WFA). For some, this will be the first time navigating a WFA process, while for others, it may raise new questions about options, timelines, and next steps.

To help members prepare, PIPSC is offering a series of focused webinars on key WFA topics. Each session will walk through a specific stage of the process, explain your rights under the collective agreement, and outline the supports available to you before decisions are made.

Please register for the session(s) most relevant to your situation:

VDP (Voluntary Departure Program) & SERLO
Learn how voluntary departure and SERLO work, who may be eligible, and what factors to consider before making a decision.

Opting Employees
This session explains the opting process, key timelines, and what your choices may mean for your employment status and future options.

Surplus Priority and Reasonable Job Offers
Understand surplus priority status, how reasonable job offers are defined, and what to expect if you are searching for another position.

With significant WFA activity expected, PIPSC continues to push back against cuts that undermine public services and place added strain on workers, while standing ready to support members with timely, practical guidance.

If you are facing a WFA situation, we encourage you to review our WFA FAQ webpages. If you have questions about the webinars, please contact bettertogether@pipsc.ca.
