I am pleased and honoured to present myself to you as a candidate for the Atlantic Representative on the CFIA-VM Group Executive for the next two years.

I have been the Supervisory Veterinarian at Est 150/139(NS) since September 2003; and a VM Steward for over 20 years. I have always been dedicated and committed to safeguard the professional interests, status, respect, and standards of our profession in the CFIA, notably the Atlantic area. For example, answering to the call of members in distress over salary issues as well as leave related issues.

I have attended Atlantic Area UMCC/OSH meetings at the Regional and Area levels in the past. I have also undertaken numerous PIPSC sanctioned training sessions as well as attend various invaluable PIPSC meetings to ensure that I have the knowledge, experience, and skills to be an effective representative in all proceedings of the employer and of the union.

I am confident that I can represent your views on matters affecting you at all times.
