I hold a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Montreal. After 2 post docs, one at McGill (2001) and one at NRC in (2006), I worked for PerkinElmer (2008) as a team leader and at the Neuro (2012). I joined the NRC in 2015. I started as project leader and became team lead the Cell Engineering team from Jan 2016-March 2020 and currently the Cell Culture Scale up team since March 2019, leading both teams for a year. I am bilingual, human resources and client focused and a pro-active internal/external scientific liaison with proven ability to develop and maintain associations and business relationships. I my role, I have opportunities to improve my negotiating skills and became knowledgeable of TO and RO/RCO collective agreements. I realized that, while team lead share many of the responsibilities of project leads, they have other responsibilities and additional administrative duties that are not conducive to meet the current promotion criteria. I have expressed my will to change this situation by becoming a founding member of the Quebec PIPS sub-group. I strongly believe that the best place to propose and debate changes to collective agreements is at the National NRC RO/RCO Executive.
