The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada

Marc Therrien

I have reached a level of comfort and stability in my job. This enables me to have more time which I would love to use, and share on the CS Group executive Committee. My background in union activities includes being the President of a PSCA local (70080) when I was with the National Capital Commission (from 2008 to 2013)

With the Institute, I have been involved as a shop steward in 2013-2014 as well as being on the bargaining team (not this past negotiation round, but the one before last). I want to get involved because I feel I can contribute with my past experience, as well as with all the knowledge and experienced I acquired in the last 5 years. I want to help the CS Group move forward and ensure that our members are well protected, assisted and cared for, especially in these times were going through.

I am a good communicator, team player and I want to partake my experience with my peers on the CS Executive committee as well as with our members.

Thank you for your consideration
