Laurel O’Connor

I have worked at NRC since 2013 as both an RCO and member of the senior management team of the Aquatic and Crop Resource Development Research Center (ACRD) as a Business Advisor and Business Development Officer. I have a BSc, Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in International Trade. At NRC I have served as a conduit and liaison between industry and NRC-ACRD research capabilities, working with researchers to structure and negotiating projects that maximize the benefit and impact to NRC, clients, and partners.

Throughout my career I have consistently sought out and embraced leadership opportunities, as well as encouraged and supported leadership in others.  I value an innovative, collaborative, team-oriented approach to reaching mutually established goals.

Relying on my combined business, academic, and government experience, I seek to identify, communicate, and capitalize on the common ground that exist amongst stakeholders achieving shared goals and objectives, even amongst those with differing interests, personal objectives, and cultural points of view.

I am currently a member of the RO/RCO negotiation team and the Central Bargaining team and would welcome the opportunity to continue serving with PIPSC to support and advance the interests of my NRC colleagues.
