Lalita Jeethan

Lalita, currently a Competition Law Officer with Innovation Science Economic Development Canada has also worked in other federal departments including Immigration, Citizenship, Customs and Taxation. This variety of positions has provided her with continuing opportunities to take part in union events and acquire significant skills.

Lalita, as an active member of PIPSC in good standing has held the following positions within the PIPSC union:

- PIPSC Steward for 20 years. She takes part in ongoing advanced training and attends Ontario Steward council meetings.

- President of the Toronto CP Sub-Group (2017-2023).

- Vice President for ISED Labour Management Consultation Committee (2018–2022), which included participating in the Working Group Committee meetings and the Labour Management Symposium.

- Delegate for the CP and PIPSC AGMs. Additionally, Lalita regularly organizes union events/learning activities and attends regional branch activities and Ontario Regional Councils’ events on a regular basis to remain updated.

Lalita’s priorities and promise as the Vice-President include building and enhancing members’ engagement and relationships in the CP group and Sub-groups. She will represent your views by bringing your voice to the Executive Committee.
