Steward and Consultation Team Recruitment-Department of Justice Canada

Steward is the term used in labour relations to define a member who represents other members in a designated work area. The steward is an official representative of the Institute in the workplace and represents all members within a specific area of jurisdiction.

Stewards are the backbone of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada. Our professional training has assisted many members in our workplaces, and the advice of our Employment Relations Officers (ERO) at PIPSC, assisting us Stewards, has been a winning combination for workers. Every year, we attend The Regional Steward Council, where we learn and collaborate with other Stewards and ERO’s.

We are also looking for a DOJ/PIPSC Consultation Team President, Vice-President and other consultation team members. This is a great opportunity to raise issues of concern directly to the Deputy Minister of the Department of Justice and senior management.
