Karla Furey for Member-at-Large

My name is Dr Karla Furey. I was the District Veterinarian for NL region for 20 years, before joining IAB working on aquatic animal exports.

I have been a PIPSC steward and member of the Regional UMCC/OSH committee in NL for 24 years. I have also represented PIPSC-VM at the Area UMCC/OSH level.

I am President of the Atlantic area VM Sub-group. I would like to the opportunity to participate in the National Executive as a Member At Large, to further represent VMs across the country.

In my personal life I have 2 young adult kids (aka empty nester), still play rec basketball (my poor knees) and enjoy examining the daily weather reports (Newfoundlanders have a love/hate relationship with the weather!!)
