Jewelle Smith-Johnson - NRC-RO/RCO

I am Jewelle Smith-Johnson - Manager, Operations and Finance with NRC-IRAP (Ontario Region). I have worked throughout my 25 yr career with membership-driven organizations in not-for-profit/ public service to further the professional interests of members. I have developed and supported many boards of directors and have participated in discussions with government and other stakeholders whereby I represented the views of members on matters that impacted their work. Prior to joining NRC, I worked for 13 yrs as Director, Corporate Services for a provincial health regulator to protect the status and standards of a health profession. 

My role falls within the NRC-RO/RCO group as do the 84 ITAs I work with on a daily basis. I am

well-positioned to ensure that the interests of the Group are represented in all proceedings as my role enables me to have direct, ongoing, dialogue with all ITAs in Ontario and to access Canada-wide RO/RCO perspectives through weekly OFMC meetings with my counterparts across Canada. I would welcome an opportunity to be a part of the PIPSC Executive for intellectual growth and learning, to positively affect change and to spearhead improvements in operations within IRAP that support and reflect the needs of RCO members
