Jewelle Smith-Johnson

I am Jewelle Smith-Johnson - Manager, Operations and Finance (MOF) with NRC-IRAP (Ontario Region). I have also served 2yrs as a member of PIPSC Executive. During my tenure, I have received membership approval for by-law changes, and have chaired the FY 21/22 nominations committee and the FY 22/23 Awards and Recognition committee. 

My current role falls within the NRC-RO/RCO group as do the 84 ITAs and 6 MOFs I work with on a daily basis. I am well-positioned to ensure that the interests of the Group are represented in all proceedings as my role enables me to have direct, ongoing, dialogue with ITAs in Ontario and to access Canada-wide RO/RCO perspectives through weekly OFMC meetings with my counterparts across Canada.  I have worked throughout my 25-yr career with membership-driven organizations to further the professional interests of members. I have developed boards of directors and have participated in discussions with government to represent the views of members.

My involvement with PIPSC has enabled me to positively affect change and to spearhead improvements in operations within IRAP that impact RO/RCO members. I look forward to continuing the good work of PIPSC RO/RCO Executive and to continue representing its membership at this table.
