Jeremy Mayer

I am bilingual and grew up in Quebec. I obtained my B.Sc. in Clinical criminology in Montreal in 1993. I completed my MSW at McGill in 2005. As the incumbent social work representative since 2016, I have endeavored to advance our professional groups needs and interests within the union and with the employer. I have worked to increase communication to better represent and defend each one of you. I have ensured that we've had a strong presence at the bargaining table and that our specific skills continue to be reflected in our job descriptions and our salaries-which remains an ongoing goal especially with upcoming negotiations in the fall of 2022. I have helped many of my peers in dealing with difficult workplace situations and in obtaining their educational allowances in a timely manner once called upon. If re-elected, I promise to continue fighting for you and to work at completing the initiatives we have started to obtain equity mainly in terms of salary.
