Jean Bosco Uwimpuhwe

 

This is to submit my application to the position of President of the Audit, Finance and Science – AFS-Canada Revenue Agency and member of the senior management.


I am currently working in the Information Technology Branch within the Corporate Distributed Database Services team. Before joining this team, I worked at local IT at Place de Ville-Ottawa from April 2018 until January 2021.
In fact, beside my degree in computer engineering, I have background and experience in the field of finance and auditing. I graduated from UQAM with an MBA in finance. I am a member of the ISACA professional body, from which I hold a certificate of Certified Information System Auditor -CISA.


Before directing my passion in the field of IT, I worked as finance professional for five years during which I contributed to the improvement of the environment for production and integrity of the financial statements of the Rwanda High Commission in Ottawa. I had also had the opportunity to serve as the internal auditor of the Adventist church for three years.


In addition to my skills in auditing, finance, and science, my personal skills will also help me ensure the leadership of the VFS group.


I am a systematic and organized person with the ability to listen the others people and finding solutions to problems. I am able to communicate verbally or by writing in both French and English.


If I am elected president of the VFS group, I will take this opportunity to put my knowledge, my experience and my skills to the benefit of the executive board of the institute in order to contribute to the achievement of its objectives, as well as to the improvement the well-being of the members.
