Hicham Abou Hamad - Biography

Dear colleagues, 

My name is Hicham Abou Hamad and I have been proudly serving you as the treasurer of PIPSC for the past 3 years, demonstrating a strong commitment to the financial health and transparency of our union. I consistently fought for fair representation, ensuring that every member’s voice is heard and have played a key role in securing our recent pay raises, the classification system and getting out of the pandemic deals. 

Looking ahead, I will focus on the flexible arrangement implementation and the upcoming collective agreement negotiations. I understand the value of money and I want to ensure that we protect our rights and benefits that we worked so hard for. I will continue to improve transparency, open dialog and fairness. 

I have been a NAV CANADA employee for 26 years. I am a senior engineer based at the TSC and I had the pleasure to support new members, travel across our country working closely with the field, the work centers, Program Delivery, CRF, Head office, senior management, to name a few.
