Groups

Members belong to Groups, which include all the members of the same bargaining unit. Each Group operates under its own Constitution which must be consistent with Institute By-Laws. Members of the Group elect their own Executive.

As a member,your voice counts and you're encouraged to participate in the activities of your Group.

Members of your negotiating team met at Îlot Balmoral on July 11, 12 and 13, 2023 to continue face-to-face negotiations with the employer. During these meetings, proposals from both parties were reviewed and new clarification questions were asked.

Your SP Group Bargaining Team met twice with the employer; at the end of June, and again at the beginning of July. During those meetings, the pay proposals were exchanged and negotiated.

Please be advised that the Headquarters Subgroup’s planned Meet-and-Greet, originally scheduled for August 15, 2023 at the Royal Oak (180 Kent St., Ottawa), has been postponed, because of the Subgroup’s upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) and executive elections set for September 7, 2023.

Your NUREG Bargaining Team has met with CNSC Management on May 9 to 10 and June 6 to 8, 2023. The Team made reasonable progress in dealing with non-monetary issues and the parties signed off on some issues. The NUREG team presented CNSC management with our pay counterproposal.
