Your YHC Group Bargaining Team is pleased to announce that on February 27th, 2024, we reached a tentative agreement with the Yukon Hospital Corporation to conclude this round of collective bargaining. We believe we have reached the best deal possible in what has been a challenging round of negotiations.

Highlights of this tentative agreement include:

  • General wage increases of 10.5% for all employees
  • Retention bonus of $7500 for the Professional Allied Health employees
  • Market wage adjustment for the Nursing employees of 9%
  • Increased notice for short notice shift change and call
  • Improved vacation approval notice
  • Clarified in unit staffing process
  • New orientation premium
  • Retention of seniority for 12 months when transitioning to casual status
  • And more…

This agreement must now be ratified by the YHC Group membership. An electronic vote will be held in order to ratify this agreement.  All regular members in good standing will receive the voting instructions by email.

The voting will be open from March 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM to April 4, 2024 at 11:59 PM. You will receive voting instructions via email.

You will find all the information concerning the tentative agreement below. It is important that you take the time to review everything prior to voting.
