ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023

The Retired Members Guild NCR Chapter cordially invites you to attend its Annual General Meeting which will be held:

Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11:30 am to 13:30 pm (Ottawa time)

Location: PIPSC HQ, 250 Tremblay Road, Ottawa, ON, K1G 3J8

Attendance will be taken as early as 11:15 am so please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. A light lunch will be available from 11:30-12:15.

 

Agenda items will include:

  • Approval of the Agenda
  • Adoption of the Minutes of the 2021 Annual General Meeting
  • Business Arising from the Minutes
  • Report of the President
  • Report of the Elections Committee
  • Annual Financial Report 
  • Approval of the 2023 Budget

 

NCR CHAPTER ELECTIONS – 2023

Elections to the Retired Members Guild NCR Chapter Executive will take place at the AGM 2023. Six positions need to be filled. Open for nominations are two 3-year terms for the positions of President and Treasurer; three 2-year terms for the position of Vice-President, secretary and member-at-large; and one 1-year term for the position of member-at-large. Please consider running and having the opportunity to serve on the NCR Guild Chapter Executive to better help retirees.

If you are interested in putting your name forward, please fill out the attached nomination form and return it to Marielle Nadon at the PIPSC National Office, 250 Tremblay Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 3J8 by 12:00 noon (Ottawa time) Thursday, January 19, 2023. Nomination forms will also be accepted from the floor at the AGM.

The aims and objectives of the Guild and its Chapters are to further the interests of the retired members, to formulate and express the views of the retired members on matters affecting them, and to ensure that the interests of the Guild members are represented in all proceedings of their former employer and of the Institute that may affect them.

Space is limited to 60 members. Therefore, you are required to pre-register your intention to attend by sending an email to Marielle Nadon  noting in the subject line "Registration for RMG-NCR AGM2023". The RMG-NCR AGM is for members only (no spouses).

 

The registration deadline is Friday, January 6, 2023.

 

After the meeting you will have the opportunity to speak with the members of the Guild Executive in an informal manner.

NOTE: The RMG does not reimburse any expenses for attending this meeting as we are not funded to do so.
