The NGC Bargaining Team is pleased to announce that our members have voted to accept the tentative agreement reached with the National Gallery of Canada on September 25, 2024.
We anticipate signing our new collective agreement in the coming weeks, following the Employer completing their ratification process. All non-monetary changes are effective immediately upon ratification of the tentative agreement by the Gallery, while monetary changes, like pay scale revisions and retroactivity, must be within ninety (90) days of ratification and within one hundred and eighty (180) days of ratification for employees on long-term leave (in excess of ninety days) and for individuals who were employed during the retroactive period but are no longer employed by the Gallery.
