You are invited to attend the Hybrid MAGE AGM on April 21, 2022 from 5:30PM - 8:30PM Central Time.
Please note that proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 is no longer required for in-person attendance at PIPSC events.
You will be required to register for the AGM in advance of the meeting if you wish to attend in-person. The deadline for this registration is April 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. This will provide the Group Executive adequate time to finalise the arrangements for the meeting at the selected venue. If you will attend in-person, please indicate any dietary restrictions/needs when registering. A meal, along with two complimentary drinks, will be provided. A cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. The venue for the in-person attendees will be the Delta Hotels at 350 St. Mary Av, Winnipeg.
A link and login credentials to attend virtually will be provided to the members via e-mail who are unable to attend in-person. An electronic gift card/certificate in the amount of $25.00 will be provided to each member who attends virtually (attendance will be recorded). The gift card/certificate will only be available to those who provide an email address during the meeting through the virtual attendance platform (Zoom) and express a willingness to accept the gift.
Additional grand door prizes will be provided to three (3) randomly selected members in attendance. All members who attend – virtually or in-person – will be eligible to win one of these grand door prizes. These prizes will be gift cards/certificates valued at: $150, $100 and $50. The draw for these prizes will be conducted after the elections and prior to the adjournment of the AGM and the winners must be able to verify their attendance at the time their names are announced.
The Group Executive intends to conduct the normal requirements of our AGM in this hybrid environment including elections for vacant positions on the Group’s Executive; Article 7.3 of our Constitution requires a minimum notice of four (4) weeks for elections. As indicated in Article 6.2 of our Group’s Constitution, elections will be conducted for the positions: Vice President; Treasurer; and two (2) Members at Large.
I would encourage you to consider nominating a colleague, or perhaps yourself, to one of these four positions to form a strong and complete Group Executive to help guide our Group and its Membership. The Election Committee for this year’s elections will be Katy Schram (email@example.com) and Eric Watters (firstname.lastname@example.org). All voting for the upcoming vacant positions on the Group Executive will be conducted during the AGM using the Zoom platform as well as in-person ballots.
