Your respective collective agreements currently stipulate that compensatory leave earned during the previous fiscal year and outstanding on September 30, 2017 is to be automatically cashed-out.
However, in light of the ongoing problems with the Phoenix pay system, this will not be the case unless requested by the employee. We have been in touch with government officials on this issue and agree with this decision. Be assured that this does not represent a loss of your entitlement. As such, the Institute will not be filing grievances on this issue.
