CFIA S&A Group Election 2019 - Virginia Flamarique

I have been a member of the CFIA Scientific and Analytic Group (S&A G) since September 2011.

I was the Atlantic Regional Representative on the CFIA S&A G Executive from December 2017 until I moved to Ontario in June 2019.

Even thought my union experience has been limited to the grievances on the SR re-classification project, I do understand the inner working of the union which would be beneficial for someone who represents the Ontario membership. I wish to be more involved within my union local and in doing so I do think that I can make positive changes for the membership. I successfully took the PIPSC Steward training in September 2018.

As an Ontario Member at Large, I will diligently voice the concerns of Ontario Region members to the S&A Executive and to CFIA Management. I will effectively communicate with and actively listen to the membership and represent our interests on local, regional and national issues.

I am currently a Senior Compliance Officer. With the SR re-classification process, members will be facing new challenges and looking to the CFIA S&A G for new solutions. I will bring to the S&A Executive new perspectives and new ideas.
