Cori Dorrian – Biography

I am currently a Senior Compliance Officer in Manitoba with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. My work as a Steward started officially 5 years ago when I saw what I believed to be an unfair and unjust situation unfolding in our office. But really my work as a defender of the rights of others started early in my working career when I witnessed firsthand the poor treatment of workers in the private section who were unrepresented by a union. That experience never left me. The empathy I feel for all others is real, and I feel it’s important to stand up for the rights of the workers, our staff at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.  If you elect me as a Member at large, you will find that I am interested in providing service to our members who are feeling that their rights are being stripped away.
