ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

1. Call to Order/Welcome/Vision & Mission
Natalie called the meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. She welcomed everyone and gave a brief history of the Northern Ontario Sub-group.
2. Approval of the Agenda
The adoption of the agenda was moved by Ethel, seconded by Paul.

3. Minutes
The adoption of the Minutes of September 29, 2016 was moved by Arik and seconded by Françoise.
CARRIED
4. Business Arising
There was no business arising from the last AGM.
5. Report of the President
Natalie provided the president’s report for the last 2 years.
On October 24, 2018, Françoise Nadon and Julie Henri attended the Sudbury-North Bay Branch AGM held at the Legion in Sudbury.
On May 22, 2019, Françoise Nadon attended advanced labour school for stewards in Toronto.
On June 22, 2019, Françoise Nadon attended the AV Group AGM in Gatineau, QC.
Natalie then invited Françoise to deliver a presentation on the difference between a group, a sub-group, a region and a branch. Françoise also discussed benefits of membership.
ACTION ITEM: members requested a learning event on how to look at Phoenix.
6. Treasurer’s report / Budget approval
In Kaarina’s absence, Natalie presented the Treasurer’s report. There have been no financial activities since the last AGM. The bank balance is $ 1,144.93 Moved by Christine and seconded by Nancy.

7. Nominations and Election of Branch Executive officers for a 2-year term.
