Little progress on collective bargaining. Employer offering 1% salary increase over 4 years.
Compensation for Phoenix is under discussion
Leave for members experiencing domestic violence is progressing

9) Election of Officers
Angela Cowie named as elections officer.
Bernie elected as president for two year term
Motion to destroy election ballots passed (M/S Nicole Backe, Melinda Scott)
Jennifer acclaimed as secretary/vice-president for two year term
No nominations for vice-president were received, executive will seek volunteers

Suggestion to support a Public Service Week event at Island Diesel Way office
Suggestion to invite AV President to update our subgroup, near to their meeting in Victoria on April 12
Invitation for AV members to wear branch Thanks a Union Its Friday shirts on Fridays while our contracts are in negotiation
