Catherine Cheung - NRC-RO/RCO

Hello, my name is Cathy Cheung. I have worked as a NRC research officer since 2003 in the Aerospace Research Centre in Ottawa (M14). 

I have served on the RO RCO Group Executive since 2017, specifically in the role of group president for the last 3 years. I led the bargaining team in the last two collective agreement negotiations and helped form the NCR subgroup in 2018. 

I have been a PIPSC steward for 3 years and have helped a number of colleagues with workplace issues. I have also been active at PIPSC to increase support for RO RCO and science-related issues. 

I am deeply committed to improving the workplace at NRC, fostering a respectful and collaborative relationship with NRC senior management, and raising the profile of union activity in the NRC work culture. 

I am extremely proud of what the group executive and the NRC stewards have been able to accomplish in the last few years, and I am keen to continue these efforts. Please support me in my bid for another term on the group executive. Thank you.
