Benjamin Colbourne

For the past two years, I've been a dedicated member of the PIPSC executive, focusing my efforts on two key areas:

Firstly, I've been passionately dedicated to ensuring that RO/RCO voices receive fair and accurate representation during interactions with management. This commitment is evident in my role as a steward and my recent appointment as the Consultation President for the RO/RCO Group. Given the diverse and highly specialized workforce at NRC, employee consultation plays a pivotal role. In a climate of economic uncertainty and potential governmental changes in Canada, it's crucial to prioritize robust and frequent consultation to align decisions affecting the RO/RCO group with the perspectives and needs of its members.

Secondly, I've worked diligently to support the RO/RCO group nationwide, recognizing that the core of this group is in central Canada. It's essential to take a comprehensive approach, addressing issues and opportunities in all regions of our vast country. Moreover, NRC, including the RO/RCO Group, has faced workforce diversity challenges. I remain committed to fostering fair representation of all voices within the organization and further enhancing these efforts.

With your continued support, I eagerly anticipate continuing this work for another two years.
