TIME: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (All participants are required to attend the full day)

We are pleased to offer an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training in addition to the employer training you may have received. As we are limited to fifty participants, we will use selection criteria to select the participants. We encourage you to submit your application form as soon as you receive the email.
Participants will learn:
- What health and safety entails.
- An overview of occupational health and safety codes which applies to the federal, provincial and territorial sectors.
- The roles and responsibilities of employers under various codes.
- The roles and responsibilities of bargaining agents under various codes; and
- Their role as a steward and PIPSC activist in promoting a safe and healthy workplace.
After the application deadline, the training committee will review your application, if selected to attend we will send you a registration invite. Once you complete your registration, then you will get confirmation email with the meeting ID Code and other information about the OHS training. Please do not book any travel arrangements or hotel reservations until you have received confirmation of attendance by e-mail from the Prairie/NWT Regional Office.
