President’s Note

On behalf of the NR Executive, welcome to communications 2025.  I begin this new year by thanking all NR Group members across Canada for their active participation. The NR Group looks forward to your ongoing engagement as we build even closer connections to your workplaces and as we begin to prepare for the next round of Collective Bargaining.

As we prepare for the next collective bargaining cycle, the NR Executive also plans to advance its efforts on contracting-out and de-professionalization. To this end, Consultation with your employer is critical to issue identification. As such, we want to hear your workplace experiences. Watch our newsletters on how to provide input and receive updates. This year, we also plan on improved member advocacy by working more closely with Provincial Regulatory bodies and Professionals Canada. We expect that such efforts will better inform our demands at the bargaining table especially as it impacts training requirements.

Finally, NR Executive works on your behalf and can help deal with workplace issues. Please read and share this newsletter in and effort to re-connect with each other in and across your various workplaces. We encourage the active engagement of younger members and we are actively building youth into our leadership ranks as quickly as we can.
