Dear Members,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the PIPSC BBQ Lunch Networking Event. It was a great success! We were thrilled to see so many of you there, new and familiar faces, enjoying the food and great weather.
For those who couldn’t attend, we’d like to share some news that was announced. Prior to the BBQ, your new executive team held its first meeting. The executive have appointed two members to fill the two vacant member-at-large positions. Please join us in welcoming Elie Francis and John Liu, offering your support as they step into their new roles.
Elie and June have also been appointed to our newly formed bargaining team consisting of all current members of our Executive, in preparation for upcoming negotiations with the company for our Collective Agreement that will be expiring in May 2026.
Please note that although the appointment to the Bargaining team is at the discretion of the Executive team. As part of our bylaws, Executive team positions, if vacant, still need to be elected. These positions will be put to a vote at our next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Keep an eye out in the coming months for your invitation to the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held this November 5th, 2025. We look forward to gathering again and sharing important updates with you all.
