Calgary Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Calgary Branch invites its members only to attend its Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Date:           Thursday, February 13, 2020

Location:    Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire

        255 Barclay Parade SW, Calgary AB T2P 5C2

Reception: 4:30 PM (2 free drinks tickets will be provided then cash bar)

Meeting:    5:30 PM - call to order

Dinner:      7:00 PM - free plated dinner

(Maximum attendance for dinner - 100 based on capacity)

 

If you have special dietary requirements or if you are unable to attend, please advise Samah Henein at samah@pipsc.ca. Each dinner costs $60, so please advise us if you can’t attend and we will contact the next member on the wait list.

 

Election: If you want to nominate a member, or are interested in holding a position on the Calgary Branch Executive, please forward your nomination or name, prior to the meeting, to the Elections Committee Chair: Mr. Elabor at telabor@gmail.com. This will assist with promoting a timely meeting. For your convenience, a nomination form is attached.  Nominations for Elections will also be accepted from the floor. Any regular or retired member of the Institute who is a member in good standing of the Calgary Branch is eligible to run.

 

Elections will be held for the following positions:

  • President (2 years term) 1 position
  • Secretary (2 years term) 1 position
  • Member-at-Large (2 years term) 3 positions

 

Guest Speakers:

  • Nancy McCune - PIPSC Prairie and NWT Regional Director
  • Deborah Kocay - Informal Conflict Resolution (ICR) Practitioner

 

Reports will be given by the President and the Treasurer. The agenda is available when you register online. Last year’s meeting minutes will be provided at the meeting.

 

Members may be entitled to claim fees related to the care of qualified family members resulting from attending the meeting by submitting an Expense Claim form accompanied by a receipt. Additional details will be provided at the AGM on how to submit your claim.
