UPDATES – Carrie

Nurses Week – May 11 commence planning right after the AGM, we always appreciate any suggestions or ideas, can talk to an exec or email the subgroup

Other Updates: John Purdie our Regional Director will be providing a lot of updates

later this evening during the Branch portion of the AGM, including RTO, ERI, WFA etc

SH SPECIFIC UPDATE

LYNN OHLSON – SH Group President

UPDATES:

-Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tabled indefinitely

-AI closely monitoring, pilot project ATL MA’s lots of issues

-Bargaining current CA expires Sept 30, 2026, the SH bargaining team has already actively begun preparing, our EMA rep on the bargaining team is Carolyn Hynes, there will be communication sent shortly on a MA specific engagement session on May 4

-PIPSC has highly opposed 4 day RTO initiative being imposed July 6, 2026, and has filed an unfair labour practice complaint, while this is being pursued, we are concentrating on the physical set up in the offices seeking neighbourhoods for MA’s, assigned desks, lockers, enhanced privacy and support for the requests for DTA’s and exceptions

-FINALLY Lynn will not be seeking re-election as the SH Pres come April 2027 as she will be retiring
