Minutes of the meeting of February 15, 2017, held at La Voie Maltée restaurant, Québec City

In Attendance: Pierre Girard, Réjean Michaud,Denis Arsenault, Michel Bédard,

 Alain T. Tremblay, Denis Caissy

Absent: Pierre-Claver Bigirindavyi

1. Call to order at 5:34 p.m., quorum established.
2. Agenda: moved by Denis Caissy, seconded by Denis Arsenault.    Carried.         
3. Réjean spoke about last week’s Training School. The next event will be the Regional Council in May. 5) Denis Caissy informed us that the Youth Committee held a Happy Hour on February 2^nd in Montreal and the next similar event could be held in Québec City (see Facebook page of the Committee).
4. Michel Bédard, seconded by Denis Arsenault, moved that the December 7, 2016 minutes be adopted.  Carried.
   The action items are addressed later in the minutes.
5. Réjean gave us an update on finances and presented the budget.
6. Review of the lecture at the Officers’ Mess (Valcartier Base) on January 30, 2017. It was a great success.

A energetic and much appreciated lecture by Sylvain Guimond, attended by a lot of people including newcomers.

7. Spring activities: A lecture on Diversity was mentioned, to be held in Baie de Beauport.
8. Preparation for AGM. Alain will look into the possibility for parking at Centre Vidéotron and some topics to discuss (NAFTA, Environment, Trudeau versus Trump Policies) and Food Truck for meals.

Lyne Larocque could look into the Dalhousie Naval Academy with parking and catering facilities.

9. Next meeting: Tuesday, April 25 (South); Alain Tremblay moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by 

Michel  Bédard (9 p.m.). Carried
