76th PRC - Calgary Branch

2019 Calgary Branch President Report to the Prairie and North West Territory Regional Council

We had an excellent year that was filled with many members participations and we could not have done this without our executives who led many events. We thank Better Together and the Region for supporting our events. Here is an update on events that occurred for our branch:

National Public Service Week - funded by the region

In June 2018, we provided a thank you note attached on candy bags at Harry Hays and NEB. Members who came were from shared Services, Health Canada and CRA.

Samah Henein visited PSPC work location at Harry Hays and Nuclear Regulatory (NUREG) Group. Karen Henderson hosted it at CFIA. Bonnie Pratt and Samah Henein visited Correction Services Canada facility as well. This outreach event made members who are in remote locations or non-involved in the branch activities feel cared for and valued.

Bowling Family Event - funded by Better Together

On June 10, 2018 the bowling was held at Toppler Bowl. We had 47 members attending, some retiree and members from CRA, NEB, CFIA, and Health Canada. We handed the Nix for Phoenix sheets to members and provided pizza for lunch. We received many thanks from our members as they were able to bring up to three family members.
