2018 Branch Activities
May 17, 2018 AGM: Current Executive elected by acclamation. The AGM was held at Golf’s Steakhouse, jointly with the Kitchener AFS Subgroup. Elaine McLaren was the Chair, Doug Mason and Shawn Gillis were the guest speakers. They spoke about Bill C-45 (2012) unnecessarily delayed the ratification process of the recent AFS contract. They also made a presentation on the proposed Employee Wellness Security Plan (EWSP) which is proposed to replace the current sick leave plan. Attendance was approximately 105 members.
December 11, 2018: Holiday social was held at Golf’s Steakhouse. This was our 4th annual Holiday dinner. This is a popular event that our members look forward to each year. We had over 110 members attend this year. It was funded in partnership with the Kitchener AFS Subgroup.
