The PIPSC National Capital Region (NCR) Executive is pleased to invite members, family members (18 yrs. of age or above) to participate in a social tournament on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Costs are covered by the PIPSC NCR. You’re encouraged to sign up as a team of 2 players to avoid a last-minute partner cancellation. You’re allowed to register for either badminton or pickleball, not both. More details are as follows:
Address: Centre Sportif de Gatineau, 850 Boulevard de la Gappe, Gatineau, QC, J8T0B4. Free parking around the Sportif Centre.
Time: Registration starts at 12:30 pm and closes at 1:25 pm. Games start at 1:30 pm.
Meal: Snacks and drinks will be served during registration.
Prize: Prizes for first place winners plus 20 draw prizes.
Registration:
- Maximum 2 players for each registration. Due to space limitation, 240 players will be selected randomly. A selection confirmation will be sent to you if you’re selected. You’re required to reply to the confirmation email to indicate your participation.
- Skill level (Advanced, Intermediate, or Beginner), team structure (Men Doubles, Women Doubles, or Mixed Doubles), gender, cellphone number are required during registration.
Beginner: You’re expected to be in the range of mid to high beginner who know the basis of how to serve, receive serve, return the birdy/ball, game rules, and how to calculate the points. You can sustain a simple rally but are still inconsistent. Otherwise, this tournament may not suitable to you.
- Plastic birdies and balls are provided but NOT racquets.
- Game schedules will be sent to selected players on Dec. 5, 2025.
- You consent to have group pictures taken during the tournament.
