Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2019 and Skate at the Canadian Tire Centre, Kanata

The Ottawa East Branch (OEB) Executive of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) are inviting you and your family to an hour of skating to music and a chance to socialize with your fellow Ottawa East Branch members.
Every hockey fan grows up dreaming to one day skate on the same ice as their NHL heroes. The Canadian Tire Centre makes that dream a reality, by renting ice time. See and feel what the stars of the NHL do in this exclusive experience.
Date: Sunday, 17 February 2019 1pm – 3pm
Where: Canadian Tire Centre, 1000 Palladium Drive, Kanata
Due to space limitations, only the first 250 skaters can be accommodated with 200 on the ice at any time. Bring your skates as there are no skate rentals and no hockey sticks are permitted. Please bring helmets for kids. There is free parking at Gate 3. Washrooms and change rooms are available.
*If you have guests attending that will NOT be skating, they are welcome to come but do NOT include them in the registration.*
Open to PIPSC members of the Ottawa East Branch (OEB) only.
There is also the Annual General Meeting (AGM) that will be taking place just before the skate. Member are to attend. There will be elections for 8 executive members including Vice President and Treasurer (2 year term), and 5 Members-at-Large (2 year term) and 1 Members-at-Large (one year term). Come and join a hardworking dynamic team dedicated to hosting events for the membership. Learn new skills and meet new people. If you wish to become an active member of the Branch Executive or if you wish to nominate a member, send an email with name and location of work.
Nominations through email must be received no later than noon Monday, 11 February 2019. Nominations from the floor of the AGM will also be accepted.
Members (not guests) must RSVP by no later than noon on Wednesday, 13 February 2019.
