Proposed change to By-Laws 6

WHEREAS our current By-Laws do not allow for vacancies to be filled at the Regional Council in the manner that we have done previously;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 6.7 be amended as follows to allow the Regional Council to have the power and ability to make the appointment for the remaining term of any vacant positions;

6.7 VACANCIES  Vacancies on the Executive, with the exception of the Director position, occurring between meetings of the Regional Council may be filled by the Executive until the next meeting of the Regional Council. At that time, the Regional Executive will appoint a member to fill the vacancy until the next regular election.
