Dear NR Members,
It gives me great pleasure to re-offer myself as a candidate for the NR national executive. My goal in seeking your support for re-election is to continue working diligently on behalf of all NR members.
To this, as NR sub-group coordinator, I have lead the carrying out of the twelve (12) NR Sub-group presidents, face to face meetings, since 2006. In May 2019, the presidents met to express their concerns and address PIPSC policy on sub-groups. I have prepared a president’s report and distributed it to NR members.
As senior member of the NR executive, we achieved yet another successful collective agreement; nevertheless, the president’s report shows that, contracting out, classification (work descriptions), career development, “Open Concept Work Place”, and workplace environment, remain as irritants to members, and needs our continued attention.
In closing, there is no replacement for experience and hard work. I hope that I can count on your support again and your vote to continue improving our member’s workplace by addressing their concerns as reported above.
