Your current collective agreement will expire on December 21, 2025. The IT Group National Executive hosted a bargaining proposals meeting on March 13 and 14, 2025 to prepare for bargaining.

After a slow start and obstacles related to the scale of the task, the second half of 2024 saw an acceleration in the implementation of the pay equity committee for the Treasury Board.

Treasury Board made an announcement at the end of April that would have an impact on the lives of our members and their families. An edict was passed down that all our IT Group members would be required to return to the office up to three days a week with virtually no exceptions.

The IT election committee has verified the results for the 2024 elections. For the Vice-President position, 2,002 ballots were cast in the election. For the remaining 6 positions on the executive, 2020 ballots were cast.

IT Group Tentative Agreement
The Information Technology Group bargaining team signed a tentative agreement with the Treasury Board. This agreement must now be ratified by the IT Group membership.

As indicated in our last IT Bytes #14, we informed the members that we are heading to arbitration. We are scheduled to hold our arbitration hearing on December 5th, 2023, if we don’t come to an agreement through mediation.
