2021 CS Election Report

1.  The CS Group held its elections from May 18th to June 9th, 2021. For this occasion, an election committee was struck as follows:

  • President: Robert Scott
  • Member: Patricia Williams
  • Member: Stan Buday

2.  The following positions were due to be filled by election:

  • 1 Vice President – 3 year term 
  • 6  Member-at-Large - 3 year term

3.  Six applications were registered for the position of Vice President.

     Pierre Touchette was elected for a term of 3 years.

  The following candidate has not been elected:

  • 2. Stacy McClaren  (369 votes)
  • 3. Lucille Shears  (320 votes)
  • 4. Marc Therrien  (180 votes)
  • 5. Matthew Waters  (142 votes)
  • 6. Patricial Orser  (99 votes)

4.  Nineteen (19) applications were registered for six (6) Member-at-Large positions.

Candidates were required to represent the Quebec region and the Pacific region. Steven Fréchette and Karim Chaganni were acclaimed per CS regulations 4.1.1.3.2.

The following persons were elected for a term of three (3) years:

  • 1.  Steven Fréchette  acclaimed
  • 2.  Stacy McLaren  (697 votes)
  • 3.  Lucille Shears  (658 votes)
  • 4.  Pierre Touchette  (651 votes) *elected as VP
  • 5.  Yvonne Snaddon  (587 votes)
  • 6.  Anthony Goddard  (543 votes)
  • 7. Karim Chaggani  (489 votes)  **acclaimed

The following candidates have not been elected:

  • 8. Marc Therrien  (540 votes)
  • 9. Patricia Orser (420 votes)
  • 10.  Matthew Waters  (396 votes)
  • 11.  Claude Cardinal  (392 votes)
  • 12.  Simon Piché  (326 votes)
  • 13.  Richard Brant  (299 votes)
  • 14.  Davy Chiu  (293 votes)
  • 15.  Nino Mangione  (270 votes)
  • 16.  Ramesh Gangapatnam (277 votes)
  • 17.  Even Redburn  (187 votes)
  • 18.  Olubunmi Soyemi  (165 votes)
  • 19.  Nelson Conceicao  (140 votes)
